How many repairs, major/minor?How many miles on your car? Etc. etc.I just wanted to get any idea about how well these cars are built. Just mention what year/model your Vibe is.Consumer reports says they are great little machines. Thanks much..

Also replaced stock battery, waterpump, a few hoses at that time though they still worked but were declining.Window recall - GM replaced defective bolt for free. 2004 Base, Automatic 1.8L

2005 Vibe....169,598 miles...3 sets of tires (including crappy Continentals)3 windshields (stupid Katrina debris carrying trucks w/out tarps)1 battery33 oil changes (one every 5,000 miles)1 set of new brake pad thingies (or whatever they put on when your brakes get worn)16 tire rotations, give or take35 (or so) mpg...So, all in all, it's been about as reliable as one could hope. Which becomes a quandary... because soon I would like a new car. And I would like something different...bigger... But, then, I travel 150 miles per day, and I need it to be reliable, good gas milage. And I like the new Vibe... But really want a Flex or Acadia... woe is me...

Mine has been a great car! Other then normal maintenance, oil changes, trans fluid changed, plugs, tires and battery which is all normal for 60,000 miles. It was at the dealer twice, one was to replace the cat the other to inspect the tires. One repair recently caught me off guard though. I had to replace the drivers side window because a cheap plastic bracket broke and the bracket itself is not replaceable. This issue is also NOT related to the window recall. Since the bracket and glue are not replaceable, I had to buy an entirely new window for $127. I installed it myself and the glass place said many cars have this design not just the Vibes. This is not the cars fault and I do not hold it against the car, the car has been a great car!

2006 Vibe 5-speed base purchased new in '06.Currently 56,000 miles on it.Besides an oil change every 5,000...this car has neededNOTHING...The factory tires lasted me 50,000 miles(although i should have replaced them at 43,000)Oh, and to my shame I skipped an oil change andit went 10,000 miles without an oil change...still ran great though....No issues...no probs....(although it grinds a bit now sometimes when you pop it in reverse...no biggie)

I bought my GT in 2003. It has just over 78000km on it and I haven't had to take it into the shop for anything other than the power window recall and a faulty cigarette lighter outlet which were covered under warantee. The only exception was for collision repair.I do my own oil changes and it runs very well.

Hey zd, just check on the reliability stats of the Toyota Corolla. It's nearly bullet proof. Vibe/Matrix = Corolla + wagon body.

Almost 55,000 miles....6 years...no major problems. I had the catalytic converter replaced under the TSB but that is really the only "non-maintenance" work that has been done. The rest was cosmetic.

Hey... Thanks for the responses.I just purchased a used 2007 Wave Blue Vibe with 29K on it. I have only put on about 2500 miles and love the car so far. Just wanted to know what I might (or might not) have in store for my car. I am glad to hear the positive reviews.Need new tires soon. I am thinking Fuzion HRis or Yoko AVID H4s. Any suggestions?

2006 5-speed with 60,000 miles. Everything is original, except the oil, air filter, and wiper blades. Yes, even the tires. No repairs required.

I didn't get new carpet, nerdy boy, I got new padding...AND new scratches.K-NINE is just jealous because he gets slightly less MPG than the rest of us with all the dog snout smudges on his windows. Less aerodynamic with all that dog snot, you know.

Paint chips are really not that expensive to fix... or you could put a bra on the front of your Vibe if you want less paint damage. Would much rather have a car that doesn't spend any time in the repair shop. That's a lot less expensive than a car with some sort of titanium based indestructible paint job needing frequent mechanical work. The durability of these Vibe/Matrix/Corolla (you pick) is nearly legendary.

From 2003 to 2007 when I owned my 04 Vibe, it was pretty much flawless. I had really only two issues that I probably caused myself. Over tightened the battery tie down and caused the battery to leak. Got that repaired under warranty. Not sure how but also damaged my MAF doing an intake change. Got a new one under warranty.A clunking noise developed in the front suspension and went away when I tightened all the front strut nuts. Never heard it again. The car made it across canada twice. Was auto crossed for a full season and drag raced occasionally. It was a very reliable car. My folks who own it now enjoy it. They had an issue with something in the back suspension. I wish I could remember what it was.

My 2005 Vibe just went off lease - 30,500 miles and all I had to have done were the regular oil changes and tire rotations and a set of new wiper blades. Best car I ever had. I think I sold another customer on a Vibe in the dealer's parking lot - lol.Just picked up a 2009 2.4L Vibe this week.

2003 Vibe GT 37,000 miles :HVAC control unit is broken, I plan to replace it soon ($240), new battery, just bought new tires, need brakes, pretty much all wear and tear stuff. The car has started on the coldest of mornings when my friend's SUVs would not and has got me where I need to go without any problems.

2004 Vibe103,300 milesI have put about 30,000 miles on her since purchasing. Not sure about previous work or maintenance, but we change the oil every 3,000 miles, I have put a new set of tires on her about 10,000 miles ago. New brakes (front) done around the same time. New O2 sensor back in May/June. Right now she is fine with no problems except I need to take it to the dealership so they can fix the driver-side window (plastic clips) and is driven daily between 40-100 miles (depends if I have to work or not).
