now that i have taken the valve cover off and know that there are no lifters or rocker arm or anything, has anybody ever had fuel injector that would make a noise that would make you think it was a lifter or such?

The valve train is mechanical, not hydraulic, so ticking/clicking noises are normal.

right but its like its was not getting or was low on oil, i know that its not,but that's more like the noise I'm hearing, although it doesn't get faster or slower, only louder and softer. so far the best i can say it right at 1000 after just bumping the gas it will stop making that noise all together, but come right but and really isn't all that loud, now when it shifting from 1st to 2nd gear its a the loudest point but only till it shifts, after that it get soft again and almost is at a point of not hearing it @ 3000. also seams to but louder when the motor is hotter?

I get a similar sound, and it's from some solenoid next to the engine.. near the airbox.. You should hear my Subie, sounds like an industrial sized sewing machine.. lol.. Not quite a diesel, but close... lol... Mostly injector noise... If you want, you can used a long screwdriver as a "stethoscope" of sorts, just place it where you think the noise is coming from, and then rest your ear on it... move from place to place, till you find it.. it works, try it..
