Thoughts? Recommendations?

KYB are the stock struts, you won't see a handling difference other than the fact they are new. Tokico are more suited to a lowered vehicle and won't suffer any ill effects the way the stock(KYB) struts will from lowering. I've had Tokicos for about 6 months now and the ride is much more precise and smooth than the stock KYB struts. On sweeping bumpy turns the car is rock steady with no tendency to skitter or hop sideways. A huge improvement in my opinion. so the shocks would work great with the eiback sportline spring? 1.8 drop in the front and 2.1 drop in the rear? one place where i have always had a prob learning and figuring out has been suspension.

How noticeable of a drop is that? I don't want to be hitting curbs and such, and I like being higher up off the ground. Not sure if that would be the thing for me. It's time to replace the shocks, especially since the strut boots got shredded and stuck inside the shock.....lame.

Springs are not necessary. The handling improvement is dramatic though. You won't really notice a ride height difference until you see it side by side with a car at stock height. New struts don't come with the boots so you'll have to buy them at the dealer. Of course, check Toyota prices for comparison.

I wonder if you can get KYB AGX for the Vibe... The GR-2 KYB's are the stock replacements, but the AGX are the adjustable versions.. Then again Tokico also have adjustable versions of thier products as well.. You've done everything else, why not go for an adjustable suspension?

So these WILL fit my 05 base vibe even though they are listed for the matrix. I also cant believe that they are going so cheap. I priced kyb's and they were over 400 bucks. But im totally down to get them if you think theyre worth it. Other than the boots is there anything else that needs to be purchased or modified. also a suggestion on springs...Eibach pro kit...yeah or neah.

I prefer the Tein S-Tech but the Eibach are also excellent springs.Almost everything is interchangeable between the Vibe and Matrix. You shouldn't need anything else unless your rear suspension is way out of alignment after lowering, then you'd need shims. An alignment must be done about a week after installing the lowering springs.

Coilovers FTW!!That's about all that's available in regards to being adjustable for the Vibe/matrix.I would follow Raven's points and get the Tokico's.And you won't scrape the ground unless you have stupid skirts like mine.

I have the Tein S-techs and plan on doing the Tokico struts.
