How much did the hitch cost you? I'm considering installing one, hadn't really considered doing it myself, but the savings may make my decision easier.Do you have pictures? Thanks,Tim

Just installed my Hidden Hitch. A quick, easy & clean looking install. I took off the decals & spray painted the hitch flat black Rustoleum. It really blends into the undercarriage. Purchased from etrailer.com it was $100. + $10. ship. When I checked out, I typed "genvibe" into the promotions/coupon box and they gave me a $7. discount. (This was per a tel. conversation I had with a sales supervisor.) Thanks genvibe!

Does anyone know if it's possible to "rent" a hitch? I may be moving to Indiana, and would need to rent a trailer to move stuff, but wouldn't want to permanantly install a hitch, since I'd likely never use it again. If it is possible, is it the kind of thing you can install and remove with no sign of it having been there? Or is it like you have to drill holes, and then the holes remain even after the hitch is gone...

Might try U-Haul. I'm not sure if they rent or not but they're probably your best bet. I don't believe it requires any drilling. No guarantees on that since I don't have one myself though.

The hitch from etrailer does not require any drilling. It mounts to 6 bolts which are already there. Even if you could find somewhere that rents hitches, it would probably be more than $110 to buy your own and install it in less than an hour.

Code "genvibe" is still valid and worth $6.99 off your order if anyone is interested.FYI, I bought a hitch so I can mount my hitch-style bike rack to the Vibe and carry 3 bikes.

quote:How much was shipping and how long will it take to get?Shipping was $8.87 UPS Ground to my locale. I would expect if they shipped tomorrow it would take 2-5 business days to get here. I'm in no rush. The discount almost covered the shipping, so it wasn't a bad deal. It's hard for me to find the Hidden Hitch model in my area for some reason, but the price was reasonable with most places. This way I won't have to worry about if a place has them in stock.
