How many of you have been affected?I'd add a poll, but they seem to be MIA.I've been hit for the 2nd time, and my wife's just got hit for the 1st time. So far, MS has sucked about getting mine fixed. It took over 3 weeks and as many hours in phone calls to get a return label from them

I had it happen 2 times. Finally bought an Elite. Still have my 3rd Pro, need to get rid of it, don't use it, never had any problems with it before I got the Elite. No problems with the Elite so far, but I don't use it as much as I used to either.

Both of mine have been Elite's. Teena's is a Pro; it went almost the whole 3 yrs, it was just barely under the extended warranty.

elites have the same build process and same issues as all over x360's. They ALL have this issue it has NOT been resolved yet. My friend is on his 7th, another on his 5th, both were pro's. Mine is a elite and it started to lag real bad going to the menu, but then i stopped playing it Anyone selling their RROD x360?? let me know. Its said that RROD is at 44% of all x360's and I wouldnt doubt it.

My 360 has been fine. I waited until May to buy one. No problems at all.

the main time you see a RROD with the x360 is playing for long periods of time 3-4+ hours OR playing a hour or so heavily then turning it off, playing it soon after, turning it off. Like heavy spurts of gaming. What happens is the motherboard warps causing the solder under the GPU and/or ram to break/pop and so no connection.

My wife is the one that introduced me to console gaming. Or actually reintroduced I should say...I hadn't played since the Atari 5200. When we started dating she had a Playstation and Gran Turismo....Now we have a total of 3 Xbox 360's (my RRoD Elite (currently at Microsoft getting fixed), my new Elite, and her 20 Gig Pro (we have a box here waiting to send it off, it's RRo'D'd too). 2 Wii's, 2 PS2's (1 is loaned out to a freind of ours) 1 PS1 with the attached screen, and 1 PS3.In case nobody remeber's she's in college 6 hours from here working on her PhD. She's ABD now, so at some point we'll have a fleet of extra toys.

Have you personally been affected?I'm voting 3 since mine has been hit twice, and my wife's once.

I bought my 360 at launch and it died on me just a few months back. It was a bit frustrating, but i do have to give MS credit for a smooth customer service experience in providing a replacement. A buddy of mine has been through six or seven 360's over the last couple of years.

man the last 2 times my buddy (on his 7th) had a horrible time talking to customer service. The rep was foreign and the communication barrier was so hard that the rep couldnt understand the issue with the xbox. my friend ended up calling back a day or two later.
