I would agree it needs at least a little wing.there is at least some power going to the rear wheels so it needs a little downforce. that would be logical right?better than say a giant wing on a cobalt that has only fwd and no need for down force on the rear wheels.
Thanks guys,I'm diggin the wingless, but it give it and award appearance if you ask me.. the roof line is high compared to the shoulder line, so I think without the wing it kinda looks goofy...It's growing on me at the same time..

None of the wings on the road today (on cars under 50k) are really providing any... The EVO or STi gets no downforce for their wings... It helps reduce lift and increases stability, but doesn't provide any DF.. So all they are is for looks really... a lot of guys remove them...
in a weird reversal of logic, taking the wing off makes the car look like any generic sedan on the road, Camry glory, and then the roll cage, blue rims, and lower body flairs look like some undeserving vanilla car with mild rice. So in some bizarre way, taking the wing off makes it look ricier. You;ll need to update your sig pic for the rims, and the lighting in the sig pic makes it look like the top of the glass in the door is noticeable lower than the top of the glass behind the door, like the back seat glass is too tall. .

Maybe that's what made it grow on me so quickly, But, I know what you are sayingI kinda think the missing wing makes it "blend" in much better on the road, till it passes you and you get the side shot.. then it blows up on ya.. lol.. I've been bordering on rice since I got it..lol.. I know that, i'm trying to keep from going off the deep end... If it hadn't been for the wheels being a rather rare color, they WOULD have been painted gold... 22b style..

the wing has always been a part of the look of the 2.5 RS. I personally think you ruined it. Looks much better with it on. Now it just looks like a plain old impreza.

Thanks for the inputs everyone.. So far, i'm getting about 75/25% for wingLESS/winged... lol... here and on my other forums.. I think most like it's understated-ness, where the wing is just kinda, "in yo face"I can tell you, it's a LOT easier to drive without the wing right in the rear sightline.. I'm hoping to have a Pchop done, with a Subaru STi roof vane spoiler...

The big wing is better for tracks and cornering, with 23lbs down force at 70mph, 115lbs at 155mph. While the small spoiler gives higher top speed at 160mph. I talked with chevy engineers about this and tests show the big wing SS beats the small spoiler on the track and in doing the math for down force

I know everyone is calling sleeping, but I'm not sure how much of a sleeper it looks like with that hood, the color matched wheels, dropped profile, and exhaust. Sleeper to me would be total stock outside appearance with all the goodies underneath.
I thought about gettin it tinted to, but I like the "fishbowl" style... lol... Yeah Whelan, sleeper it's not.. lol.. but from a distance, the wing is one if the first things to get noticed... then you get closer and people get all drop jawed... lol..
you should chop the top.... then the wingless look might look cool...Looks too much like a normal Impreza that someone put a bunch of bolt-ons on... (even though we know the whole history)
