Personally, I never go vanity for several reasons. (1) mucho dinero. (2) if I ever (removed) someone off on the road, they're much less likely to remember a random number combo than more coherent words or acronyms...and (3)each time I get a car I may have to re-register and get new plate (say, if I get something with Vibe in it, and my next car is a GTO, it woul djust be strange), thus costing even more dinero...

How about a vanity plate with zero's and O's, or ones and I's? Try to remember 0O00OO0 or 1II1I11I as it flies past!! Pete

I've seen one that's one better:It was a combination of Ws Ms and Ns.Example: WMWNMNWNow, try reading that at a quick speed. It's just a zigzag line! WNMNWMN ... so much fun can be had!And yes, I would pay for a liscence plate like this ;D

that's not true, on my last truck i had "SCORCHER" because it had a flame paint job. So i know 8 letters can be used.

It depends on where you live and what kind of license plate you get. I believe that some places still only do 7 letter plates. It's all a matter of location.Landon

Unfortunately, here in Maryland vanity plates are limited to 7 characters

I've got a "vanity plate"... I prefer to call them personalized. It says SPUTNIK1.

I believe Jersey has a 7-character limit as well. You could do EATSHFT then.

I saw a PT Cruiser with the license plate (removed). I wonder if the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario will realize what they have allowed and remove it?

I don't know if they would do it after the fact, but they are supposed to screen them before the issue them.

Well, I don't necessarily agree...in a way, it is a swear, but in a way it isn't...I guess if some 60 year old lady complains or threatens to sue the state for allowing it, they'll probably force it to be changed...But personally, I don't feel that's right...IMHO, unless it's a direct threat or attack to someone or something, it's not harming anyone. It's no different than shielding kids from porn shops, cigarette ads, or beer ads.Unless the person with the plate is a parent. Then I can agree, it's outta place.

How about REVOTEGOnly useful if you have front plates, sort of along the same lines why they write ECNALUBMA on the front of emergency medical transportsedit 10/3/2005 - ancient thread used to park a file upload that may be useful laterpdnfttimage not to interpreted as ertaining to the context ofthis thread in any way.

Creative! Problem is the plates on front are too low and are out of view of most mirrors...but you could always learn to drive everywhere in reverse!

I don't have a personalized plate...I think they're kinda cheesy... but I saw one that was somewhat clever LV2XLR8.

Don't forget the classic: 3M T43can you guess what that says? ;DAlso, for a whole series of BANNED liscence plates, check this website out:http://www.thesmokinggun.com/doc_o_day/ ... .shtmlIt's people writing in to the DMV (which is public information) and complaining about different licence plates.I am not sure if this is in there, but I heard that a Convertable once had the plate which read "RainSux" and some parent got all pissy about it because she didn't want her kids using the word "sucks." I mean (removed), it's a freakin' convertable!!! I hate people sometimes. ;DThis link is for all the Wisconsin ones, there's also Florida and New York sections as well. Also, the best standard issue licence plate in history belongs to this Florida resident. (Sorry if the image is big, but it's worth it!) ... someone had a lot of fun making that plate!

Silver,Geo asked if anyone could figure out what the plate said. Take a look at the top of Geo's post. In a rear view it would read "Eat Me".
