Gas Door Needs to be replaced

Has anyone had problems with their gas door? When I got my vibe a month ago, I had it parked in the driveway and noticed that my gas door was open. I originally thought I must have snagged on the latch release by the driver's seat. However, I found that if closed the back passenger door or the hatch, the gas door popped open. So, I had the dealer adjust the door. Went to fill up the tank, pulled the latch release and the door didn't open. I could pry it open with my credit card. Took it back to the dealer. After playing with it for a while, the tech concluded that the gas door needs to be replaced. So, they are ordering one, will paint it (hopefully it will match and not be a different shade!).Anyone else have problems with the gas door? Thanks.

quote:Has anyone had problems with their gas door?Yes. Well, actually not the door itself, but the black plastic spring clip thingie that springs the door open. Yours didn't fall out also did it? I have to be careful when filling up not to open the door too far or mine pops out again. See: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1378Carl
