Daytime Running Lights

The little light-bulb shaped light in my speedometer is always lit, both day and night. I noticed this after i lent my car to someone for a week. Might he have accidently changed something, or did something coincidently fail while they were using it.I suspect that this is telling me that my headlights are on full-power all day. No need for that.THX

I think the light comes on when you manually turn the lights on or the dashboard sensor turns the lights on. If the latter was malfunctioning, the tail lights would be lighting up unnecessarily. If that's the case, you need to replace the sensor (or just unplug it if you don't care about the auto lights).
