I spoke with a SEMAC rep today they are the company that makes GM accessories. They still dont have a date when a Vibe hood protector will be available

I tried to order one today through my dealer and he called somewhere and the recording (he had it on speaker) said it was not available yet and they didn't know when it would be. I was bummed - I wanted to use the 20% off coupon I got when I bought the car. I've had hood protectors on most of my cars and on my '04 - no problems with whistling or wind noise.

At http://www.gmaccessorieszone.com/, the molded hood protector (# 19158476) is listed for $69.

Also at http://www.gmaccessorydealer.com/, for the same price. It should filter down to your local dealer shortly.

You can also buy it from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com for $50.93 and about $12 shipping. The local dealer is really digging themselves a hole with me. I ordered one from them over two weeks ago. Was supposed to be delivered in three days. Well, it got lost somewhere between where they ordered it from and the dealership. They are trying to track it down. Meanwhile, they won't order another one for me. They were even going to charge me $80 for it plus shipping. Good thing I didn't prepay for it.

I would get the invisible bra installed. Helps with chips and isn't gawdy. Can hardly tell it is there unless the car is dirty
