I have a 09 Trix with 1.8 and auto. 30mpg mostly city and 31 with 25% city 75% highway. Only 1000 miles on engine. Hopefully it will get better once the engine breaks in more.

hey is the 1.8L auto only 4speed? Wish they made the manuals with a 6speed geared for hwy cruising.

i own a subaru WRX and was going to get the MS3 for my next car. But then gas went through the roof and im not sure i want such a gas hog. Plus the Mazda 3 does not have the best crash test so unfortunately that rules it out for me. Shame because it is one of the nicest looking cars on the road. crash test is 4,4,3,3,4. That is 3star on both side impact. Vibe is 5,5,5,4,4 and the scion xB is 4,4,5,5,4.

Just filled today for the first time.Tank was full when we got it.Put 42L for 621 km(11G/386M).6.8L/100KM(35MPG)This is a mix of hgwy/city.1.8 AT.

With the not quite full tank I got from the dealer, I expect to get 450-500 km out of it. That is all city with trips ~15minutes or less. Not great mileage, but is noticeably better than what I was getting with the 4 door Epica I had before. A full take would probably last me close to a month at that rate.I've got the 1.8 5spd Manual.

why does everyone talk about how many km or miles they get per tank. This is a discussion about mileage and if you dont report how many liters or gallons you consumed going those miles and what kind of driving, then i really dont see why you are posting.its just annoying that on these mpg threads no one is really giving the information they have. dumb
