Driving within the optimal fuel consumption range, the indicator is green. It begins to flash when it detects increased acceleration before reaching the fuel consumption threshold and finally turns amber to advise the driver of their driving behavior.In order to achieve reduction in CO2 emissions, Nissan takes a “triple-layer” solution that encompasses vehicle technologies, driving behavior and traffic conditions. and that system to function would cost more then the money saved on fuel...we're trusting electronics more and more to do what we should be able to do already. I already know how to get better fuel by how I use the gas pedal. I also know the deal with tire pressure.

LOL yeah. I hate my TPMS actually. And I rather like pedal to the medal when the light goes green... I just do. I could ease off on the gas if I wanted to, but I don't.

I could ease off on the gas if I wanted to, but I don't. the TPMS is horrible! its a nightmare for us at the dealership. If only they were like the GM set up of using the abs sensor. The individual monitor per wheel is pricey. They should just program all cars with an economy map for the ecu you can switch on. So regardless of how hard you gas it, it will accel and shift in a fuel saving manner as programmed.
