Stock Stereo Replacement

Post by booyah »

My stock stereo (6 cd changer) burned out in my '03 Vibe. If I buy a replacement from a junkyard, can I simply install it and expect it to work, or does it somehow have to be married to the car itself? Does some sort of programming have to take place? Thanks.

It's plug and play, no programming.

THANKS ALL!I called and asked the dealership this question and they told me it had to be married to the car. I figured they were lying to me (trying to get me to buy a brand new one)....two in his head and one in his heart.
