Well I finally got to get my time off. I didn't make the rally but I'm sure it was a great time. Between getting sick and my cousin bailing on me for that trip, I was invited last minute on a cruise with an old friend and her family. So I took it. Left Saturday the 26th and returned this past Saturday the 2nd. I soooooo needed to get away for awhile and this was the perfect trip. We left Miami and hit up Carnival's priate island, then St. Thomas/St. John, San Juan, Grand Turk, and back home with two days at sea along the way. Fantastic time, great people, and just fun all around. I also made a purchase for myself in St. Thomas seeming as I was now single and had some cash to toss around. I will get pictures up of the cruise when I get them. Here is the boat, Carnival Liberty (952 feet new as of 2005)And here is the watch I bought for myself, Tag Heuer Aquaracer. Authentic, warrantied, and $$$ lol. What the heck, might as well gift myself

It sounds like you had a good time. Any chance you might consider the cruise in March I told you about?

I'm sure that was a good time... never done a cruise myself, maybe I'll be able to at some point in time.

LOL the details, that works.Went with about 45 people total. It was my friend and her family. Last minute due to another cancellation and the timing could not have been better. In St. Thomas I bought the watch in the am, then we took a ferry to St. John on a snorkeling excursion at the #2 rated beach in the world! That island is so gorgeous you could disappear there to get away from everyone. In San Juan is was so hot we just walked in the morning then took a Town Car around with the AC blasting to old and new San Juan and the fort area. Then back to the boat. Not much to do there unless you like to drop cash on tourist traps.Grand Turk had a Margaritaville with a swim up bar, a Flowrider, and we had a private cabana hut with a porch and out own server to get our food and drinks all day.We played a lot of Phase 10 during the week, if you haven't played, get the game, I learned it a few years ago and it's very addicting. We had the late dinner at 8:15 and since I was a repeat guest we were able to attend the VIP parties and such. They were Platinum members, which means you have been on like 8 or 10 or more cruises. So we got special VIP ferries to the islands, line cutting, and early on, early off from the boat. We took one night to play cards with buckets of Bud Light on the back deck, that was a crazy drunken night. Cocktail hours before dinner were great by the casino bar, often spending a few dollars at Black Jack or 3 card poker. I hit the club two nights and danced like crazy. Met some girl from NY who dances freestyle and wants me to come down to dance with her sometime, we have been talking a bit since. Also hit up the Piano Bar a few nights, but you can only hear Piano Man so many times on a boat.It was just relaxing and fun, never been to any of the islands we went too. Haven't been on a cruise in like 7 years, and life just could not feel better knowing I am not in debt and I can payoff the money dropped on the vaca fairly easily.
