Just wondering how much I can hope to get off my new 09 when it arrives next month. I have a fully loaded Base model with 1SC package and everything else less the auto tranny. List price is 25 grand. What can I expect/hope to get off the list price???????

With the Canadian dollar now worthmroe than the US dollar I am amazed that they still are charging thos eprioces. Do you pay the GSAT on top of that?

I have to pay 13% tax on that too, then 6-7% interest, not cheap

Don't expect much negociation. The Vibe is Pontiac's biggest seller in Canada and demand is high.My 1SC with Auto tranny back in March added up to 28,500$ with tax, destination and a 5.4% rate included. Factor in the GM Student rebate and the Wich&Win special this winter, I have to pay a little more than 26,000$ in total. Of course it doesn't help that I received the first Vibe the dealer ordered.....Jake75--> Auto manufacturers are blatantly laughing in our face. Most manufacturer will offer to equalize the US list price but only if you can pay the car CASH.... Caus if you can't afford to pay it cash here, then you can't go pay it cash in the US and therefore are not a "threat" to them..... sucks

All kinds of things are happening at GM Canada (maybe US too). They are not offering any incentives on pricing and GMAC has now announced no incentives. I took delivery of a 2009 AWD for my dad yesterday and the dealer said that GMAC is leaving the leasing market completely. I guess they invested in below prime mortgages and are now paying that price. They also have loads of trucks and SUV's sitting on lots unsold.Overall, GM have made some bad business decisions over the past few years and times are changing. Don't expect any breaks!

You would think they would have some type of incentive or just knock off some cost , Im pretty sure there is about 1700 dollars in the car i ordered so im sure they can do something, if they don't, I won't buy it simple as that.

How is GM going to know any different.

I'm looking at this '09 standard transmission Vibe with 1SB package. $850 below MSRP. About $900 dollars worth of admin and government imposed fees on top of it. About $23K tax included. Reasonable deal?jack

take the 60 month zero percent financing, costs you nothing. Put the money in a GIC ( 4.5 % for 5yrs at RBC) and make money, better yet put it in an RRSP and get more back.
