I would make sure you put a good coat of polish on it first before you wax...

Seeming as it's so new you can wax anytime. Typically dealers throw a quick top coat. If the car is showing some slight swirling use some Meguiar's #80 then go over it with NXT Tech Wax.

No need to wait for the "paint to cure" or anything like that?I don't see any swirls.

paint cure time is typically 3 months from a paint job (as if you were having somethinf fixed). So you could check the door sticker and see what month/year yours was produced and go 3 months from that date, but I believe that the manufacuring process includes an excellerated cure process. (They send it through an oven of sorts to cure the paint sooner)To make a long story short. Wax It Now with NO Worries.

Paint curing at an actual factory is A LOT different than if you went to private person or paint shop. They put these cars on boats, trains, and trucks and put that tacky white covering on most of the big parts, Roof, Hood, doors, etc. So I think the paint is pretty well ready.Nothing is harder than bringing a car back. But keeping it maintained requires more short periods of time but quicker and easier results.

Just wondering if anyone had the "Starshine" treatment done at the dealership??It's a Sym-Tech paint protection with Teflon.

It's basically a Teflon coating sealer that goes onto the car. Not worth the cash. I have bottles of Simoniz System 5at my house that I got for free while the dealer charge $500 for the service.

WOW $500-!! It was part of the deal with buying the 2009.Seperately it would've cost me $190-.The dealerships are really suffering here in Toronto(any sale is a good sale). So far I know of two dealerships that went under.
