Seized air conditioning compressor

The mechanic got the alternator in after loosening the air conditioning compressor and I still have a battery warning light. I tried the air and it stalled the car out right away. The car sat for 2 months before all of this started. Now with the motor off the compressor will spin freely backwards but going forwards it stops hard after most of a rotation. Anyone had this?

I can't remember if anyone had it seize hard enough to stall the engine before. Been a couple of weeks now, did you get it fixed yet? How much did it cost?

I see this is an older post but here goes...If it worked fine before storage I think it still would now. That is why I suspect the compressor clutch. Did your tech check it? The clutches can be replaced on their own and I am wondering if the clutch seized up from the two months of not being used. You should not have a batt light after the alternator replacement. Check the battery to make sure it has a full charge on it and if not, charge it outside of the car and then re-install.
