I have an 09 base with the radio/cd player. The other day I put a cd in to play, not an mp3 disc, just a standard commercially produced cd, and artist , album, and song info started scrolling across the display. How is the radio getting this info? Off the cd? or through the RDS system? Or from the XM service?Never had a player display cd info for a non - mp3 disc before.

So it does CD-text? That's cool... I've used it before on discs I burn since I had a CD player that read it, but I didn't know that they made CD's with it already on there.
