http://www.autoblog.com/2008/0...tack/In-car footage of the Corvette ZR-1 lapping the Nurburgring in 7:26.4, hitting 180 mph at one point on the 12.9-mile course and beating out the Z06's time.Long but worth it, this guy has his hands full no doubt!

didn't have time to watch it this morning other then the first minute or so. It looked like a hand full. Did it beat the GTR's time as fastest production car on the ring?

No really faked just taken differently and so making the comparison seem more in nissans favor.

The ZR1 was stock.
http://blog.gmnext.com/?p=194"The car was bone stock with the exception of the communications and safety equipment. The tires were production Michelin Pilot Sport 2’s. These tires have been developed specifically for the ZR1 and will have impressive wet traction and wear (tread wear rating = 220), in addition to excellent dry road holding. Chassis alignment and vehicle height were set to factory specs. Likewise, the engine calibrations were absolutely stock, emissions compliant and the car ran on pump (not racing) fuel. The vehicle was exactly like the cars that will be built in Bowling Green, Kentucky and sold around the world later this summer."

Nissan said 7:29 for GTR.Chevy said 7:26 for ZR1.So the ZR1 had a faster time than the GTR.

I do not think it is fake since a GM friend forwarded me this link as well. Not saying you are saying it is fake of course!

Sweet! That thing will be a rocket right out off the showroom floor! I saw my first ZR1 a couple weeks ago near the GM tech center, it passed my on the road. Wish I could have gotten a closer look at it.I have been to Milford once but not on the track!
