Hi, I'm Doug....I drive a Vibe....Has anybody put a factory (Matrix/AWD Vibe) luggage rack on a 09 GT?

Welcome Doug! I know that some dealers won't sell you the factory rack for the '09 GT. It's the same car, has the same points to attach the rack, so it should fit.

They defenitely fit. I work at a dealer and took some off a new 09 AWD and put them on my GT.

Ah- That's what I needed to know. My '09 is straight stock, manual except for 2.4 engine. I got it off the lot and there was a shortage of racks. Now I'll get one from the dealer- the little plugs open to mounting points, eh? EDIT:*************Roof Rack on 2009 orderedI just ordered roof rack kit from the dealer - two pieces (different lengths) for $125. per, arriving in a few days will call. So- that will proof out that '09 OEM kit available for $250. When I actually pick it up. serious design change from earlier generation vibe.

How difficult is the installation on the 09 GT? Do you have to remove the headliner or is it just a bolt on? Also do you have the part number?Thanks!Ace...
