Pulls harder when cold

Hey everyone,It's been a while. Been busy with moving!Well, I had all the vacuum leaks fixed but I'm still putting out only about 5psi. I've noticed that it pulls a lot harder when cold. As it warms up it just seems a bit weak but either way I'm still putting out only 5psi of boost.I've also noticed a bit of staining towards the nose of the supercharger. I thought that some steam was coming from the dipstick but I'm not sure. I put my finger into the idler pulley and my finger was covered in black gunk. Is that pulley junk and causing it to perform like crap and not put out good boost? When I first did the install I was putting out around 8psi.

Air/fuel mix is a little richer when cold.

Yeah you get just the right temp and its the car got an extra 10HP or something lol. My vibe usually got that "boost" when the temp was right around freezing.

Are you sure that its not from the Gator back belt working itself in? HAve you checked to see if the SC is tight against the manifold? I'm getting up to 9-10PSI on some runs (could be the gauge) but in the install instructions it said one of the factors of low boost is that the SC is not tight to the manifold and I know how hard it is to tighten those bolts properly.

The SC is tight. I even verified all the bolts and they are tight. That'd make more sense if I was putting out 5psi from the get-go, but I wasn't.

does the belt skip under load when you rev the engine? I have hesitation if thats any consolation, not all the time just when I give to much gas and let off quickly.Do you have the factory pulley on the SC?

I can't hit redline or anything.Factory pulley yes.

I think most of your problems are your failing tranny and/or your piggyback. Not sure what to think about the gunk on your idler pulley without seeing it. Could be the pulley or the belt.Could be like my car, it just doesn't want to play anymore and wants to be replaced with something better from the factory.

Ya, I'm going to start bringing it back to stock slowly but surely. When I make engineer in 6 months I'll get a new car.
