Small incident on my motorcycle

I tried to go to fast around a curve today on my motorcycle. Didn't think I was going too fast, but I was. Going around a left going curve and I end up hitting my left side on the side of the road. My bike is banged up and out of commission until I fix it. I was wearing a thick leather jacket, heavy blue jeans, boots, and a full face helmet. I went to the ER and found out the only injuries I received were pulled muscles in my upper left chest and my pride. I'm lucky that's all it was.

Sorry to hear about the tumble, but I'm glad you were able to walk away from it.

Well, I was able to pick the bike up, check it over and start it up and ride it home. I consider it out of commission however because of the shift lever being bent out of shape and the handlebars being bent in towards the rider on the left side. Very odd to ride it like that. My tank was also dented, the two left turn signals broke, the headlight now points to the left a bit, and the front fender got scraped up.Considering how I feel now, it's amazing that I was able to pick that bike up.Thanks for the well wishing. I certainly will be trying not to misjudge curves in the future.Vance

There's 2 kind of riders out there...the ones that have crashed... and the ones that will crash...Better you low sided than High sided, but sucks none the less. Glad you are ok, and that you were wearing your gear. I haven't been down on my bike, but there have been a few close calls, I'm assuming some day I'll go down, but that's why I always wear my gear too.
