Just got done installing my RMR-8RDS detector/scrambler. It has a total of four sensors (one forward looking detector, one forward looking scrambler, one rearward detector, and one rearward scrambler). Tested it with friend of a friend who is a local cop- worked pretty well up to about 100 feet, then he was able to lock onto my speed. We tried 4 different times and each time he wasnt able to tell how fast I was going.I'll put up some pics in the Am when its light out of the install

SWEET, but which model did you get exactly and if it's the one I think it is (RMR-8RDS), did you really pay what the site states?? How did the install go?

No, I bought it from one of their retailers for $549 with free shipping. Im sure its probably cheaper somewhere else, but I've bought from this company in the past and they have awesome customer service. The install was a PITA given its a radar detector, but not too bad, probably about an hours worth of work.

you needed to cut a hole in the front bumber? it really wouldn't work going threw the honeycome grill?I guess what I am asking is did you at least try it before you hacked the lower grill.Otherwise. I love it... If you could figure out how to wire just the led's in to a "dead" button on the dash you wouldn't even need the box inside. Total stealth.Or make a flip down cover for the compartment so if you did get pulled over for something, in a state that those are not exactly legal. The officer would never know.

there are different laser jamers that dont require any cutting, saw them on ford GT. They just cost a bunch!
