Now that I have got my car detailed and rock chips fixed on the hood, I was looking for hood protection. I know that my options are:1. A good coat of wax twice a year2. A bra (not too trilled about that)3. A bug shield4. The 3M clear plastic protectionAre there any other options that I should be considering? Is one better than the other? Any and all opinions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I got a quote on the 3M full protection...front end, hood, mirrors. $595! I've just accepted the fact that the front of the car is going to get damaged and that's that. I am however going to get a weathertech hood thing, and whatever else happens to the front I'll just accept.

Have you found a good price on that bug shield from weathertech? I know on their website it's $59.99 plus $20.00 shipping which is WAY too much IMO. Maybe a better price at a auto parts store?

Best price I've seen is $77.25 shipped, only a few dollars less than the weathertech site.
