A few interior lights out....

Ok for starters 03 Vibe baseThe light that illuminates the hazard flasher button is out. Can it be replaced or do i need a whole new button assembly? The light in the HVAC controls on the right hand side has a mind of its own. If it is not working all i have to do is tap the HVAC controls near the tempature knob and the light comes on. Will replacing the bulb fix this? Do i need to replace the bulb at all?...can it be a bad connection??thanks

The HVAC problem is going to be a PITA. I suggest just beating the dash until it comes on. The bulb is to blame. You can replace it, but it's difficult to do and the bulbs are expensive. I ended up breaking the HVAC controls trying to get them out and as a result had to buy the whole piece. It came with new bulbs though, thankfully. Can't say for the flasher... That one may end up being a switch replacement. *shrug*Good luck to you!

THe light in the flasher switch can be replaced without replacing the entire switch, the problem will be trying to find a replacement bulb. If I remember right, it's a tiny thing, there's a quarter turn plug on the side. WHen you find a source, post it up, I need one too but haven't been bothered by it enough to do the research.

http://autolumination.com/74.htm~half way down the page, i replaced them with SS Leds, as type A doesn't have a incandescent replacementThat's where I got my replacements.Hazard switch light- Neo-Wedge Type A (8mm base, 10mm height)HVAC lights- 2 Neo-Wedge Type B (10mm base, 12mm height)Note on HVAC: The passenger side bulb is easy, the drivers side is the hard part, I suggest rolling tape around your finger, stick the bulb on the end, and gently manuver it into place!

theshackseffect......Did you order these LEDs in white or red? When they are in do they match with the rest of the dash lights? My guess is the LED would last longer in the HVAC unit....

Sorry about that, Its actually the rear defrost button next to hazards...Anyways, The white actually looks like OEM in the HVAC, thanks to the diffusion paint they used on the HVAC faceplate. That paint is also about impossible to duplicate. I actually ended up using blue, as Im changing my gauges and knobs to fit the current color scheme in the Vibe.
