I would highly recommend the Cosmo. I had one on my '04 and have one on my '06. No problem ever with check engine lights and the price is right. A cold air intake is just a tube and a filter, nothing special. With the name brands you are paying for the name. The performance gains are almost identical. You'll save enough money to get a Progress rear sway bar. http://www.neverenoughauto.com...=1853

Although i agree with raven on choosing the cosmo because of price and its pretty much the same. I dont agree a good cai is just a tube w/ filter. There are some cai's for the ms3 with out air straighteners and they screw up the MAF on the car soooo bad....ie. mazdaspeed cai. But the cosmo is proven to be good!

cosmo FTW, i've got the SRI and love it to death, wouldnt spend the extra $150-200 to buy a named brand for the same results

thanks for the input. so far it looks like cosmo is a good choice. i was leaning toward that company before, but knew i should ask you guys before i bought it. good to know it wont mess up my smog check and as for a SRI, the tech is proven but... its hot air. mabe if i had a vent, but im just getting started.

You better check if it has a CARB rating. I forgot you're in California.
