Does anyone here have a scangauge in thier Vibe?

Post by jerryn »

I've got a scangauge II that I used in my honda element. I actually needed it to alter my driving habits to increase MPG. I was thinking about doing the same with the Vibe. Do any of you have one and if you do where did you mount it. I was thinking driver side of dash near door, but it won't look great. Other place is the first storage console that's close to the 120v outlet.Any other ideas?

I do I do!!I put mine in the compartment on the left... I can't always see it, but personally I like it here...other's have put it on top of their steering wheel, right below the guage cluster.I know you have an 09, so the radio area is different, but some guys that had aftermarket single DIN stereo's had a little cubby that they were able to put their's in right under the stereo... Some others put it in the glove box, but to me that defeats the purpose...

Here's one in a 09: (thanks to 09Red_Se)Quote, originally posted by 09Red_Se »Very tight fit.Really need to use a dremel and cut out the bottom of the 'tray' about 1/32 - 1/16 of an inch to fit (height-wise).Managed to shoe-horn it in, but it was a fight.

I like it. How did you get the cable in there, drill a hole in the compartment?

How did you snake the odbc cable through? Looks good! What did you use to secure the scangauge? heck.. my rear view mirror vibrates from my sub.

I thought all Vibe owners had a Scangauge. One of the best investments I have made for our GT. Has paid for itself in fuel savings. Mine is mounted on the steering colmn with velcro. Very easy to see.Dan

Hopefully he can help you out!
