I got a ride in Parnell's(northvibe) MS3 today. (removed)!!! He has the fasterest car in the world!!! Once he entered Warp-4 my lungs collapsed, my hair blew out and the skin on my face was rippling. My ears are still ringing from when we broke the sound barrier. Love the seats, btw - felt like they were hugging me. (as in hold onto your pants because we're about to lift off, byotch!!). PS-Sorry about that little poop stain on the front seat. I was scurred. A little soap, water and Febreze should take car of that. PS- I'm kidding about my hair, I still have it all. Not kidding about the poop, though, that was for realz.

I've seen 3 MS3's in my town and they all drive SOOOOOO slow. I don't get it, I wish they would just punch it to see the thing takeoff. I'm about to go to a dealer just to test one out.

I just autox'd in mine....WOW it was putting some numbers down. It was my first autox but in stock form there were two of us speed3's and we were posting low 30's while the best evo was at 29. So not bad. They are real good for that type of driving stock as you just stay in 2nd and rock out.

Great time and well, I still need to learn how to drive my car. Sometimes, it just scares me! But after riding with the instructor who almost beat her fastest time of the day record again (in a Porsche Cayman), that little light came on in my head as I realized that I had a GAS pedal and BIG (removed) BRAKES so I could actually go fast! So the next set of runs, I drove almost 2.5 seconds faster than my previous runs all day long! It was awesome! I even dipped into 36's (fastest was 34.8) so only 2 seconds off the fastest times of the day! and WOW! it was soooo much fun, my hands were shaking and I could barely stand up to get out of the car! LOLOne day, that light will come on BEFORE the end of the day and when it does, I'll actually jump ahead of quite a few folks to play more with the big boys!

I should of let the instructor drive mine... I was making better time with stability/TC on than off. but I would go to assume its because I am not seasoned with full control of my car yet. I know the ms3 stops like a mofo so I could of gone hella faster. I got some pics and a vid ill post up sometime.

I turn off traction control as soon as I get in teh car! It sucketh if I don't. then I slap the car in Sport # for more boost and hit the DCCD control to about 65% to the rear. That seemed to work really well all weekend. next, I just gotta start playing around with some tire pressure to see if that will make a difference or not.

yeah my tire pressure could of been tweeked better. I didnt take the spare/tools out of the trunk either. the other ms3 got 1 second faster (stock) but had new tires. I left the stuff in so i could get a better feel for my car the way i will normally be driving. I turn off the sbc/tc when i drive street though...

I have a really quick way you could have shed off another couple of hundred pounds and a few second lap times...consists of a sawsall and maybe some cuts and bruises... you didn't want to put everything back to stock right?Glad you had fun... where are the pics?

I was running 28psi in my front tires and 37psi in the rear. It got the car to rotate like I had a stiff sway bar on the back. It was pretty cool. I managed to run with the big boys all day except for the two running low 35-mid 34 second runs. Had a lot of fun and managed to top out 2nd gear at one part of the track. I always try and run a course in second. The more times your foot is moving on and off the clutch and your hand is off the wheel, it results in more unrequired movement. Smooth is fast.

Remind me to never take you for a ride in the Subie, I can't imagine what kinda bodily functions would happen if you got in a car with some REAL power....

I'd accept the fact that I was still slower, but I would also be getting back into AWD and be getting better mpg's. I'm totally ok with my slowness, especially with gas being as it is, no need to speed around, because I can't

If i get that cobb AP I could see a couple more mpg's out of that too...lowest mpg ive seen is 3.6mpg (on the read out) and I was in full boost going fast....

here you go...my best run that counted (looks a lot faster than it was. My best run wasn't recorded. I had taken out a cone (which took out the camera) on the previous run before it. So just imagine the same thing about about 2.5 sec faster! LOL and NV, you need to get yourself a camera too!

oh i never went fast enough. I could of pushed it more. Those pic's were from the first heat and i didnt have the DSC (traction/stability control) on then. I turned it on for the 2nd heat to see if i could get a better time as the minicooper did. Driving fast and trying to get close to cones was a weird feeling to get used to! i usually try to dodge animals and things in the road

learning the proper line is also tough. but that's where all those hours of GT4 come in handy. Phil kicks my (removed) when it comes to that. That is usually what I really struggle with out there, figuring out the line and being a lot more agressive in the new car. He keeps reminding me that it can GO FAST and I think I'm going fast until I ride with someone who really is. Then "ding! ding! ding!" (removed)! I'm going soooo slow! LOL
