2009 GT Dash Symbol

Does anyone know what the dash symbol that looks sort of like a clock with an arrow at the top is? The symbol appears on the RPM gauge. It appears in the manual with all symbols but there is no explanation for this one. The symbol lit up earlier today. I drove a few miles, shut the car off and on restart it was gone. Thanks!

I believe that is the tire pressure warning light. There is a section in the manual on how to set it up.

Thanks, but that is not the symbol. The tire pressure warning looks like an upside horseshoe with an exclamation point. This symbol in question looks like a clock with an arrow at the top left of it and is more to the right side- middle of the RMP gauge.

ahh lol..now i got it..the tire pressure warning is actually a tire with a exclamation point in it..it's pretty much a "cut away" view of a tire

Bikerscrum,I immediately ran outdoors and started the car. You are of course correct. The symbol is even on the cruise control stem. Thanks, I very much appreciate your help. BTW, I hope you are laughing "with me."

What is this umbrella compartment you speak of? Is this on 05's and up? I've got an 04 and I've never seen it...

I've got an 04 and I've never seen it...Look in the forward part of the cargo section, near the back of the rear seats. On my '07 there are the child seat tie downs & an opening to a long narrow storage compartment in the floor. I didn't know about this until recently when a local news station reviewed the '09 GT and they showed all the little storage compartments. I also recently discovered the interior light back in the cargo area. LOL I've never had a wagon & never thought to look for a light back there!

I use that compartment for the Hazzard triangle and road flares and some tools.I didnt know it was for the umbrella/snowbrush. Just thought it was a cool skinny storage compartment.

Yeah, I 'discovered' my little compartment a few months after I had Pandora... I keep the soft cover in it. Umbrella stays under drivers seat near me, because I'm never going to climb back there in a storm... I'll just run into where ever I need to get.I remember the day I discovered that my mirror didn't have to obstruct my sunvisor. Anyone here 'discover' a light under the rear cargo floor that I'm missing? I can't stand that the ceiling light is covered when I prop up the florr to get into the spare. Grrrrr!

Wow, what an interesting thread...went from the cruise control symbol to the mirror hitting the visor, and everything in between...LOL My two cents on storage...I put a folded up tarp in the long skinny compartment in the trunk. Perfect for putting in the cargo area for messy stuff like plants and soil etc. Never thought about the snowbrush, great idea A little out of reach though on cold, snowy mornings. The 2009 has used the space wisely, especially in the back. It is also great to have extra cup holders in the doors. And the sunglasses holder by the sunroof buttons are a Godsend. Thanks again for the entertaining thread

well then, just to bring it around full circle, the 2009 owners manual shows the symbol, but when it later talks about the Cruise COntrol light, it shows it as the word "CRUISE" Given how long it took Pontiac to correct the error about how to access the cabin air filter, I'm not sure it's worth reporting the error to them. Anyway, I think it important to note that the reason Theodoreable was unable to find it in the manual wasn't because he didn't look, but that the owners manual didn't include that change from earlier modelsThis pic shows what the owners manual has for the area of the cluster, and the description of the cruise control light

Re. the cruise symbol vs. 'CRUISE'... I vagely recall reading somewhere that it's one way in the US and the other way in Canada... and maybe the use the same manual for both? I'm in Canada and I have the cruise control symbol that was originally referred to in this post.
