Owners of 2009 Vibes or those that have driven/sat in them for more then 5 minutes, how's the 2009's seats? I'm mostly wondering about up front. So what do you think about the comfort of the 2009 Vibe's seats?

I voted for them feeling great, cause they are a whole lot better than previous models. But, I think with them upgrading the seats to be more plush, that they have reduced the space around you. The dash and center console just feel a whole lot closer.

Definitely feels great And I can directly compare it to the old model as I used to drive a 2005 and my mother drives a 2007. The '09 has the same seating position, but does feel more comfortable yet supportive. They did a great job!

I took an '09 GT out for about 45 minutes a while back. The seats are ok, I don't think they are nearly as comfortable as the previous models.

I've driven my 2009 for more than a month now and I think the seats are very comfortable. My wife, who has some back problems, also said that they were excellent.Guillaume

Had the car for 6 months, no problem with the front seats. I also took the car for a 1000km trip last month and I had no problem on a 5 hour drive.

IMO, the new seats are more comfortable than the old. I like the adjustible lumbar support.

The bolsters aren't really that strong even for an economy car (hell a prius has better ones in my opinion) and the upholstery seems to be stretching out and wrinkling a lot faster than other leather equipped cars that I have had. Other than QA concerns I do like the amount of articulation in the seats and headroom, although I do wish they offered and extendable center console for those of us that drive manual. (luckily toyota ripped off a lot of good ideas from mazda 3 and VW in regards of function)

I apologize. When I test drove mine, I reached down to release the button that allows the seat to decline. Instead I got a hold of the lever that tilts the seat forward. I gave it a couple of hits and felt the seat press against my back more, I figured it was lumbar support the way it felt on my back. Anyway, I just went and looked and tried the same lever again--I was wrong the lever I used that I thought was lumbar only lifts/tilts the back and bottom of the seat forward. Sorry for the confusion. I wasn't used to this additonal lever because my 06 base only had the seat decline adjust lever.
