That's great, I just wish you would have consulted GenVibe, before making that tire purchase... The UHP get some decent reviews on the big name sites (Tire rack ect.) but on a true performance site, they get horrible reviews... i'm not dissin you, just your tire purchase... I'm sure better for the same amount could have been had, give the chance to make suggestions for you.. Oh well, to each tier own.... I doubt you'll be unhappy...

Now, i'm kinda worried, I don't know if I would trust an 18" wheel at that weight, without them being forged.. That is awefully lite for a wheel of that size.... Not a BAD thing, as long as they'll take a solid pot-hole hit without breaking, add the fact that there will be little rubber to protect them... Man, I hope it works out for you, I'm not trying to spook you in ANY way, but I would keep my words in mind, just to be on the safe side... It would so totally suck for you to get back from over there and then get in a wreck after nailing a pot-hole at speed... just beware man...

you tryin to go with 17's or 18's?

18's of course..my rule of thumb is that i go 2 inches bigger then the stock wheels...so since mines a 16" stock..im going 18..with my sunfire it was a 15" so i went 17"...it's a thing of mine..no point on spending $200 a rim just to get an inch bigger

well there's only one slight problem right now. I got home yesterday. and I went to put them on, and i could only get 3 of them on because of the crappy lugs that pontiac uses. That cover had stripped out. I think what happened is my wife took it in to a mechanic and they said her lugs were loose. so my guess is that when they tightened them they used an air wrench and tightened it too tight, but now i can't get my lug wrench on the lug

ok here's a couple picsand here's the damaged lug nut...does anyone have any ideas as to how to get that thing outa there?also when i was just giving my car a wash this morning I noticed that the bumper had been hit at some point whilst i was gone and on the passenger side around the reverse lights it was dented in. Kinda ticked me off a little bit there

rims look good..what the guys at our shop do if they gotta get a rounded lug nut or a locking wheel nut without the key..is they find a socket thats abit smaller then the actual lug and just hammer it on so it's nice and tight..then get it off that way

I can't believe they rounded that one off that bad... what size socket where they using? Seems a little odd that it was so bad... I can tell you at our shop, if we see this kind of problem, before we touch it, we warn the customer of the issue... that way they can't point blame that we rounded off the lug nut... (yeah they're are some shady shops that would round it off... then show you...) Wheels look good, Glad you are home!
