Sorry guys I cant agree, dont care for it at all.It looks like a typical toyota in that it is very boring looking, the car looks just like another lil space pod.and i can just guess where they will sticker it at.Sorry not my cup o tea.but that is just my lil opinion.

I don't like it either .I got the Vibe partly for fuel economy, so I don't want a V6.

What's the point of it? It seems pretty redundant. They have the Rav4 already, which grew to the size of the old Highlander.. As well as the 4Runner.. The Sienna too.I guess it's like Mazda having the Mazda5 and the CX-7. They're both similar sizewise, have similar options...one kinda makes the other redundant. I don't know why car companies are doing this now.And with the price of gas now, I really HATE having to pay $55 to fill up my Vibe. It's ridiculous. I've been pulling 38-40 mpg from it, and I still want better. As if I'm going to buy a 6-cyl for my next car. I think I'm going diesel next round, if the manufacturers would hurry the fark up and give us more of them....

Pass. Looks like an odd version of the Cx-7.

So that's what you get after an Edge rapes a Camry. No thanks.

Sure, it isn't the most exciting car, but you have to admit, the Vibe isn't all that exciting in stock form either. The rumor is that pricing will be around 23K.

looks like a ford edge when your zooming in on it...

Looking over the specs, they will offer a 4 cylinder engine, so that should curb it's fuel usage.I kind of see the resemblance between it and the Edge, but I think it looks quite a bit better.

I'm not diggin it either. The front end is hideous. Just one more $30,000 crossover to add to the list. Yawn.

Probably not.Great car. I want one. BUT, will it really sell? It's basically a Camry. When dealers can discount a Camry at $18,999, it's not going to make much sense to pay $30K for the "same" thing. If I need a crossover to carry, pull stuff, or drive in snow, I'll get a "real one."Yup, it's a great car. A great idea. Owners will love it. When it comes to it and I got some extra $$$$, I'll spend it on the XLE trim on my Camry instead.

Toyota - as of now - is replacing the Solara with the Venza. That could change. But if that's the case, I guess it's not supposed to be an alternative to camry - it's supposed to be a version of it. ROFL!Good luck Toyota. Americans may be dumb sometimes, but they're not dumb enough to go shopping for a 2 door coupe or convertible, and decide that a 4 door high-standing crossover is THE SAME THING! *rolls eyes*

I'd like to see a 'real' picture of it - not the prettied up promo shots. It's hard to judge from those. I like it in ways, and dislike it in others. I'll wait to judge until I see it in person.

So, since the Highlander is also a Camry derivative and apparently this one is too, what's the point in this thing? Is it just smaller or something?

Toyota is trying to save money by sharing platform.2. Highlander has moved "off road" (if you want to call it that) as you know body on frame, such as the 4Runner days are numbered. Venza is this is the "new" Highlander.

Gotcha. So they're doing like everybody else and adding so much bloat to a vehicle that they have to create a new vehicle that was the same size as the original vehicle was before they moved it too far upmarket. Toyota's definitely well stocked in the "crossover" / wagon segment... this thing, Highlander, Rav 4, Matrix... sheesh that seems like a lot.

Just like Honda has to bring in the Fit because the Civic has gotten so big (and expensive).

It's just it's hard to really judge from promo shots that are cropped and prettied up. Seeing the car against a backdrop has a different look than seeing it out in public, or even in a picture with a parking lot background. IMHO, the promotional photos almost don't even look like real pictures - they almost look like computer generated images because they're so "perfect". Even with my fresh clay and wax on my Murano, I can't achieve that "glow" around the car that those pics have.

To celebrate being built at the TMMK plant in Georgetown, Toyota will be offering the Venza with a limited production Red, White, and Blue paint scheme.
