Had a long weekend of racing this memorial day weekend. There was a rally cross in the mud/gravel on Saturday which I'm still waiting for pics of. But on Monday we had the Solo SCCA memorial day event. Pics are coming as the wife edits/uploads them but I'll tease you all with some video. First video is from a mount I had taped to the right corner of the roof above the windshield. It was my second run of the morning and my best of the morning runs.Second video is from another mount I had attached to the front bumper under the license place/center of the front of the car. It was tucked in so no one could really see it. This is my fastest run of the 5 runs we did in the afternoon that counted.Hope had her camera mounted to her helmet and will post those soon to I'm sure.I need to work on getting the mic in a better spot. It was located in the corner of the dash by the right A pillor.

thanks. wish the resolution was a little better but ah well. Its an awesome camera. I'm trying to think of some other cool places to mount it. That spot was the wife's idea.

well, my times weren't as good nor do I have race rubber either. However, I did end up hitting my goal for the day which was to get into 31 sec's (of course I didn't specify with conage or not so technically I did get into the 31's but with a cone). I'm pretty happy with my times, I beat a lot of people that I normally don't and was right behind some of those who are usually way way ahead. Phil did fantastic and was hanging right in there with the group! He was really tearing it up out there! Now I'm looking forward to running the race rubber and rims I bought 6 mos ago NEXT year (I can't this year because of my class and standings). Here are my vids of the day with my helmet cam. I really have to find a better place for the mic though... too close to the window so lots and lots of wind noise. Fastest run that counted: 32.190 secFastest run of the day: 31.980 + 1 coneand some picsPhilMe

hope do you have a race suspension on your WRX?? cuz all the pictures of you turning it certainly seems like you don't with that wheel up in the air.

we don't have WRX's. If I did, I could have saved myself $8K.both cars are completely stock suspension, ride height, everything. I have a CAI and tuned on 90 oct and Phil's is tuned on 90 oct as well (that's the best we get here). Just wait til we get some sways on the car and I add my race rubber for next year.

Hope and Phil, That is awesome, I tried autox in my RX-7 about 8years ago, but the cones confused me and I took a few out.Aron

well, up here we have 2-3 instructors in every run group so you can have someone sit with you and help you stay on course.

oic. well, once you have a better understanding of what the cones mean and you walk the course a few times, it's really not that bad. But now, I'm going to have to rig up a front camera vs the helmet cam... pretty cool angle. I just like the in car video so I can see what I'm doing.
