When my A/C is on high, or the setting right below, a rumbling/rattling sound of sorts comes from the glove box area. This just started Friday. I recently replaced the cabin filter. Could a leaf or something be stuck? Any other thoughts?Thanks

First I would check the cabin air filter. Doing so, you can also look around in that part of the duct work as much as possible. It could also be the plastic cage fan coming apart i.e. a cracked blade thus it is out of balance, it is essentially the fan blades that push the air out of the vents. It also could be something is loose.

where is the fan and how do i get to it?

Inside the car, passenger side, basically almost to the floor, behind the glove box. Remove the 2 retainers from the powertrain control module (PCM) close out panel (1) below the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door. Swing the PCM close out panel (1) down. Open the I/P compartment. Push in on both sides of the I/P compartment in order to release the safety catches. Remove the I/P compartment door assembly from the I/P. Remove the 2 PCM bracket fasteners. Pull the PCM (2) with brackets (3) toward you and swing both down away from under the I/P. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector. Remove the blower motor cooling tube. Remove the 3 bolts (2) and the blower motor and fan (1) from the vehicle.

I recently started hearing an intermittent "ticking" noise from the heating/cooling system when the fan is engaged -- the fan setting doesn't matter. Shortly after that, the air coming out of the vents & the defroster areas began making a "pulsing" sound, where it seems like the air is being pushed out at varying pressures. Again, the fan setting makes no difference; it'll do this regardless of the setting. I presume this may be related to the blower motor &/or fan? Any thoughts?Thanks in advance.

There are doors that control where the air comes out and it sounds like on of yours is sticking or there is a vacuum leak and it cannot fully open or close a door.
