So I have been looking around for about the past month and finally decided on the Chevy Equinox. So I went looking and found one in NJ. My wife and I bought a 2006 Equinox LT with 21,000 miles on it, leather seats, sunroof, awd, traction control, Laser Blue Metallic. I can hardly wait to get home to see it. We bought it for 15,400

Congrats on the new ride! I won't hound you for pics, I know what they look like. I like the Equinox/Torrent, had the Torrent rental for a week when the Vibe was in the shop and it was a really nice ride..

well not to put a downer, but it looks like the dealership may have backed out of their agreement with me, as per an email i recieved last night whilst i slept. it appears that because they took their pretty time and didn't do the paperwork someone else walked in, had the money(or got financed on the spot) and they may have sold it out from under me. Now i don't know this for sure because i got this email from a manager that i had been doing the negotiations with that he hadn't recieved the information from me, but I had since then been working with his subordinate(who had originally been handling my bargaining), and yesterday morning had even been on the phone with him. So i have to call back today after 9:00 to talk to this subordinate to see if he was able to make the sale for me and the manager is just an idiot, or if it really was sold out from under me. What pisses me off was i was simply waiting on a bill of sale from them because i already had the money for it approved. I hope it was just a retard email because otherwise i'm gonna be FIRED UP!! and that's not something anybody wants.

Hope everything turns out ok... if they sell it from under you, some heads are going to start rolling...I would tell them they have to match the one that they sold from under you, and then some... free extended warranty, or like free gas for "X" amount of time... (we have a dealership thats doing a deal right now... if you buy a new car from them you get gas for $2.99/g for the next 3 years... I'm guessing it's up to so many gallons...

Well, it appears that they did attempt to sell this vehicle out from underneath of me, but their buyer fell through, so now they want me to purchase it from them...ha ha ha I laugh in the face of the idiocity. Not only do they want me to buy it but they want the same price as before...I sent them an email saying I wanted more money off and delivery to my door, becausee of all the extra stress that this has caused me while deployed...Just fair warning for you folks in New Jersey this is the Planet Honda Dealership in Union City, NJ.

That's great they didn't sell it from under you... but it also tells you about their service... If they don't give you something... buy from somewhere else. Even if it costs you a little more it will be worth the satisfaction, and hopefully you'll get better service... Could you imagine if something happens to your new ride and you have to take it in for warranty repair, and that one place is like... oh we'll look at it when we get some time.. month later.. oh yeah, we replaced the air filter.. should be all set to go... get in, check engine light still on... they didn't do anything... blah blah blah... all they want is your $$ they could care less who you are, where you're from, of if you'll ever come back...Sorry for the rant... I've had terrible service from Delano Honda in MN... I SWEAR to never go back... and quite honestly... that's part of the reason I almost sold my bike... to get a different brand that I could get good customer service from a local dealer on.I think it's a HONDA thing... go buy a car from a Toyota dealer... I have yet to find a bad one... and I've been to about 5 of them in MN.
