Just wanted to say, We will be a new owner of a 2009 vibe GT tomorrow. Hot metallic red. No sunroof (I prefer..Sleeker to me)! Its going to be my wifes car, though I will try to steal a drive from time to time . Looked at the matrix, found it to be overpriced and this GT just stuck in my head and well, here we go!

Congrats! I just picked up my wife's new Vibe yesterday as well. We decided to go w/ the base Vibe w/ the 2.4L, in dark blue.

I've been away for a while but I'm picking up my 09 Red Hot Vibe on monday night 05/12. Can't wait, i miss the gas mileage. Had a Pontiac Torrent for the past couple of years. It's good to be back here but how about some updates?????

nice...i am looking into getting a GT too. i was at first looking at the matrix but i don't really like how it looks...it looks too boy racer. thank goodness i found out about the twin...vibe

looks aggressive!i have a question...with the 18" rims how's the ride? is the ride smooth and quiet? my friend's car has 18's and they're bumpy =/ i guess it depends on car.

Not to speak for Tino, but I was pleasantly surprised by the ride with the 18's. It is not as bumpy and noisy as I expected, but the handling is excellent, even with the stock suspension. The GT has 'front performance MacPherson strut/rear independent double wishbone'. It tightens up as you push it harder.

The ride is actually really good, we both thought it better than the matrix. Maybe thats just the looks of the car talking, but once we drove this GT we were set on it. Tell you the truth I don't notice much difference from this ride quality and the civic I have. Now, my truck, thats a different story! Another thing I noticed, maybe its just me, but the road noise was very quite compared to the matrix we drove. There was rear wind noise in the matrix (multiple matrix..matrices? ) but the Vibe GT didn't have that. Its a really sharp looking car and it has plenty of room for what we need! I am going to take some more pictures, got it detailed today, hopefully the rain holds off tomorrow!

Can you guys post some real-world gas mileage data on the 2.4L engine. Seems like the way to go.THX

that's good to hear that the ride is smooth my current car is a 2002 maxima and it has A LOT of rattles and road/wind noise and the ride isn't the smoothest =/ when i hit pot holes it sounds like the car is going to break lol i can't wait to go test drive a GT this weekend...should be fun.

Wierd cuz i have a 98 Maxima and it is tons quieter than the Vibe - and much more fun to drive.
