The Sirius brand. 2 reasons:1) I've bought it and currently use it. 2) An FM modulator is only going to sound so good. There's no way I'd drop $60 on one (in this case the Scoche). I'd be more inclined to put that towards a deck with an aux in.

Thanks for the input. Is the Modulator far supperior to the regular ant connection? Mine sounds like bad AM right now

As in the fm transmitter? Yes, the modulator sounds way better. But, it's still not as good as an rca connection. It'll sound about as good as a mediocre FM radio station. The nice thing is you get no interference from other users in the area on similar frequencies. Seeing that you're from TO, I'm assuming that's a problem.

It's a huge problem. Theres like two sations and there not that great. The Sirius unit uses the ant out connector correct? The Scoche uses the audio out I'm guessing? I really dont want to change my head unit as it is a 6 CD unit. If the Scoche will sound even that much better than the Sirius I would shell out for it.

I didn't drive my Vibe to work today, so I can't check which output it uses. I thought it was just a standard 1/8" jack, which would be the audio out. Judging by the pic that's correct, but I can't verify until tomorrow when I'm back home.Either way, no matter what the output, it's still being converted to an FM signal on the input side of the HU, so the sound quality between the two units should be negligeble. The only difference would be if you can use the Sirius unit with any other device (if it's a standard 1/8", then you can). Again, I can check on that tomorrow too if you'd like.

You've made a good point there. No matter what it comes down to FM either way. All I know is right now it really sounds awfull

Does the Modulator help in volume levels as well?

How so? I can control my output through the sirius unit. Haven't had any level problems.

I can control my level as well, but the volume is quite low compared to regular FM, and theres a lot of static as well using the wireless version that came with the Sirius

It should help. I'd assume that interference is the cause of that too. My levels with that are pretty much the same as any other FM station.

You will require additional antenna adapters with either unit. I can't recommend the GU-AUX12 unit anymore, the buzzing noise is driving me nuts.
