Got Rear Ended mother *$!@#!

Driving about 60 on the highway very light traffic, people start to slow down so do I, I have 3 car lengths from the guy in front of me (good driving for gas savings).Well this jerkface behind me doesn't notice people slowing and I hear squealing tires, I look in my rear view and see him flying into me. So I look straight ahead just in time cause I don't want neck injuries. Well he slams me real good. I roll forward but have my foot hard on the brakes. Thank God for Powerslot Rotors! is all I can say cause those things held my car tight. I didn't hit the person in front of me. Well here are the pics, totally his fault. And get a good laugh at his car cause it is messed up. I am so loving the safety of the Matrix, I need a bumper, new hatch cause its got a nice dent in it. I am fine other than slight soreness from the initial spasm. But all in all, ok and the car is driveable. But man what a safe little car, can't say the same for the other guy.My lip is no longer, it's sitting in my hatch, I look like a base model!Bumper is all popped off on both sides, could'nt bend it to attach.Other side. At least I was clean for the hit, look at that reflection! Why you don't mess with a Matrix, had to zoom in a bit.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!I gotta say, Car looks super shiny!I'm glad that MOFO's car is much worse than your's... Did you air bags go off? At least it wasn't your fault and he'll have to pay. but still, it sucks to have to go thru with all the crap just to get your car back to where it should be... You'd think he would have seen that LED brake light. LOL

I was a little sore this morning it seems to be wearing off temporarily. I'm glad I looked forward after noticing my rear view cause I wouldn't want neck pains from it.I am taking it slow after work and layin down, don't wanna aggravate it anymore.People were amazed at how well my car held up compared to the other guy. I must say these are dang safe cars and it held the impact really well.Car goes in tomorrow at 1pm to the concierge service at Progressive. I love it cause you drop off your car, pickup your loaner at the same place and come back to it to drop off the loaner and get your car back. Wonderful service.

sorry to hear man...reminds me when i got my sunfire rear ended..same type of deal..bumper popped off..and had to replace a tail light and exhaust pipe cause they hit my muffler which pushed it in towards the engine and pinched the pipe shut almost just before the cathere's a pic..not a great one..they put the sides back up somehow..but it was worse originally..couldnt open the trunk.. i got abit lucky cause the guy who hit me was lowered..so if i was aswell then it would have been alot worse

Wow, the Trix took a pretty good hit and handled it well. I'm glad you didn't get hurt. I hope Progessive gets it fixed quick. At least you can have some fun beating on a rental for a few days.

Glad you're OK and you didn't hit the car in front. Looks like the quarter panels are OK, that's good.

Quarter panels appear untouched, the bumper snapped off the clips on the sides so it preventing them being shoves up into the paneling. The hatch needs to be slammed to close, but I think that is from the big dent at the bottom of it.Progressive is so good, they walk over the car and when they do the work, they do a full frame inspection and all. I have been satisfied with there work before so I'm comfortable with them. Compared to the other guy, the Trix held up REALLY well. I also do contribute some of this to the fact that when he was braking and sliding into me, he was lurched forward pushing his nose down thus going under the car more than into it.
