CAI Install Bummer

Things were moving along pretty well last night while I was installing my TRD CAI ...then disaster struck. I was looking at the Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV) assembly preparing to remove that obnoxious screw when it slipped out my hand and landed on the floor. I thought "Wow, that couldn't have been good" but didn't see any damage. But when I went to re-connect the vacuum hoses I discovered the damage: one of the nozzels was missing! Soooo, today I called the Toyo dealer to find out how long it would take to get a replacement ....three days. I called the Pontiac dealer and read the part number to them. He said, "Oh, that's a TOYOTA part - we can't git none-them-thar Toyo parts - you'll have to go to the Toyota dealer." So, I called "that thar" Toyota dealer and ordered the $50 part. Not wanting to have the car down for 3 biz days plus the weekend, I went and bought a tube of super glue and glued the nozzel back on. I plugged everything in and VOILA! When the new part comes in, I'll replace the superglued one 'cause I don't know how strong the bond is.---------------------------------------------------------------------Now for the good part....it works great! I took a brief test drive - not much change until 5,000 rpm, then whoa! Then at 6,000 - hang on baby! Not much difference in sound while driving (the exhaust drowns it out I think) but at Idle it sounds like shop-vac. The candy-apple red looks much better in person than it does in the pics.
