Steelies

Well my problem is that I don't have money to throw around at rims.My first (major) mod will probably be some Tien Htechs and I would really hate to have a lowered car with some plastic hubcaps... I think that they are horrendous anyways.. So my question is, is there anything I could do to the steelies to make them appear more tasteful bare? I was looking at rims and I noticed some that actually matched the cladding, and it would have looked nice. (219$ each, 5 spokes) so maybe I can paint them the same color as the cladding and do a polished lip. Or maybe a black lip? Any ideas?
