sagging rear view mirrior

I am sure there isn't anything out there or that can be done, but I was just wondering if anyone has ever found a way to keep their rear view mirrior from sagging down when they have the music on. And no turning down the music isn't the answer : )

what i've done in the past is just went to a windshield place and asked them if they could put more of the apoxy stuff that holds it up..around here they do it for free or just a small fee..nothing to major

If you won't turn down the volume, how about reducing the base and upping the treble? That'll change the frequencies to not be so close to the resonant frequency of the mirror assembly (both ball joints and mirror adhesion).If you are putting that many vibes through the glass (and thus through the mirror), there isn't much you can do short of getting a rigid mirror arm. Even then, the ball joint will eventually fail. It really wasn't designed to resist these frequencies and amplitudes.

i don't have any trouble with the mirror sagging. i have my system up loud too. which part is sagging? if it's the joint where it pivots and you are the only person who drives the car, glue it.

I have thought about glueing it, but don't want to do anything that permenant. I just don't want it to end up like my s-10 did and sag all the time. Something about 6, 12's in the back of an extended cab seems to cause alot of vibrations : )

Hi,AS for the rear view mirrior ,I bought a back viewing camera for my farther .he is very pleasedwith it ,it is 100% waterproof ,fits any car truck ,suv,jeep or van.no drill,no cut your car.So I'd like to recommend you which is come from

I've been wondering about this... if you have a rear view camera, are you still legally required to keep the rearview mirror? although in my state you're not required to have the rearview if you have two working side mirrors (think like cargo vans/trucks) Different states have different mirror laws, so I'll have to do some digging...To the Mystery Machine gang!

as far as i was aware the rearview mirror isn't required by law, otherwise how do trucks semis get away with it, or the delivery vans that have no back windows, , etc

so I was bored today while driving around town lookign for somethign to do and decided to make a short video of my sagging mirror. Now no making fun of the madonna song, its about the only one of hers I like and well the video was hot with all the chicks in the limo. The trebble and bass are both at 0, and the volume never went past 27 out of 40oh and I think I shoudl really invest in some sound deadening material soon, atleast for the back area

did you try wrapping some rubber bands around the mirrors hinge points?Or what about using a hose clamp on the hinge point?take the mirror off and wrap two or three rubber bands around it, then remount it
