GM Card points now accepted by Saturn

We just got this flyer the other day that Saturn will now accept GM card points. It is about time. We've owned 2 Saturns and it would have been helpful in the past if I could have used my points. I love my Vibe and will be keeping it for a long time (provided I don't get into an accident or blow up my enginer or transmission) but we are looking at trading our Relay in for an Outlook. If the new Aura looks as good as promised (see previous post with cool pictures) I might be interested in getting one of those.Mike

Does Saturn still stick to their no dealer discount from msrp business plan? That might not be as relevant today as it was in the beginning as the spread between invoice and msrp has narrowed considerably over the years.

As much as this is good news, it won't matter to me. I considered Saturns in the past, but there fixed price policy just does not work for me. Keeping it in the family. Take the Aura for example. Is there anything the Aura can do that a G6 or Malibu can't? I may like the Saturn look better, but it's not worth the extra $2K, when other GM dealers can wheel and deal at rock bottom or lost leader range.

Yeh - a fixed price may have worked when Saturn was unique - but if they are selling the same car with slightly different sheet metal than other GM divisions life gets more difficult for a Saturn salesman. Here in Columbus all of the Saturn dealers are under the same ownership so even without a fixed price policy dealing on a Saturn might be difficult.
