Well lets hope it does, my vibe is still on order, its like pulling teeth for a Manual GT. What I'm really interested in is the Bike rack that toyota sells for the '09 Matrix I'll have to get the price asap

Your so lucky your's came with the cargo cover. Mine didn't, I just got the 2009 AWD last week and was told it would be identical to the one in the showroom. Well it was except for the $89 plus tax cargo cover?! I wonder if the 2009 Matrix cover would be cheaper and fit. Anyone know of any aftermarket places to get one? My husband would kill me if he found out I spent $89 for a flimsy plastic folding cover. Might have to add to my Xmas list...

The Matrix uses the exact same cargo cover.I was able to deal mine into the car. I first tryed the car late on a weekday evening and the dealer locked us out and it took about 30 minutes before someone could come unlock the front gate... it was cold. I convinced my dealer to add some options to the car for free.

Welcome to the wonderful world of GM. If the Matrix has one and it fits the Vibe, get that. It'll probably be half as much.

Hello all. Bought my second Vibe this weekend. No more Maxx4me. The '09 is a GREAT car and is so far superior to my wife's '03. I have the 1.8 base. I was thinking of ordering the cargo shade? or cargo cover? Can anyone tell me if indeed they are two different things? Pontiac.com states that the shade folds/rolls up like those sun shades. The website does not give an explanation for what the cargo cover is. Is the cargo cover some kind of hard shell cover, whereas the shade is the fold up kind? My wife's cargo cover (which clips to the four anchor points and folds up) does not fit my '09. Thanks in advance.

Check under your spare tire. I found my cargo cover and 2 tire tie downs - all cleverly concealed under the spare. I even had the cargo cover on order, but fortunately I found mine in time. Hopefully they throw them in with every 09 Vibe.

I was disappointed when I first got my cover (I had them throw it in on the deal since there didn't seem to be any other incentives to buy) because it was flimsy fabric material. However, I've grown to like it because I can roll it up very small for when I'm hauling something that wont fit under the cover. You can't set anything on top of it really as it will sag.

The 03-08 shade is basically the same material, can't put anything on top of it. But, they came with the cars. I don't think I would have bought it if it didn't - I hardly use it. Kinda doubt it would be the same size for 03-08 and 09+Looking on Toyota's website, it isn't available as an accessory, leading me to believe it comes with the Matrix. I believe it is the 'tonneau cover' they list as standard... Could try a Toy dealer and see if the part is available, and if its cheaper.

One came with my 2003 - I never ever used it. The one on my 2001 PT Cruiser was a better design - you could sit things on top of it.

The cargo cover came with our Matrix. We had to ask the dealer to throw in floor mats. The cargo cover is a flimsy piece of crap and worth 20 bucks.

OK, I'm gonna try your Easter Egg Hunt. I hope there is a cargo cover . No such luck, but I did find a 1987 BMW Windshield wiper blade

..I'm gonna do what I did for my wife's 2004 Lava Red Vibe, have her sew up a piece of heavy vinyl-backed naugahyde (sp?) with four velcro straps sewn at the four corners...then attach it all to a pair of those "adjustable" car coat hanger bars...much less "sag" in the middle than with the 'original' factory unit that she got with the car (at purchase time).

I've been using my cover for nearly a year now, and I gotta say, what a POS! Whatever they used to make the frame has lost the ability to keep it's shape and it now offers peaks into what I have in the hatch. Also, after using it for a long time, it lost it's "memory" for easily folding into the 3 circles needed for storage.I think I'm just going to trace the shape onto some thin plywood and unscrew the clips from the original to mount on the wood. Maybe once I have the wood cut, I could split it up the middle and install some hinges so I can fold it in half for storage. Anyone try something like this before?
