Are there any significant difference in either the Warranty and Service between Pontiac (Vibe) and Toyota (Matrix)?

Mechanically, they are the same (might be some minor diff?), so servicing should be no different.... How good the service is depends more on your dealer or where you take it for service I would think....

By service, I mean which dealer in general is more consumer friendly, fair, Pontiac or Toyota?

I bought the GMPP extended warranty.84 mo./70,000 miles major guard with 0 deductible. Its a little pricey, but at 0% interest, and with the tax stimulus rebates coming...I only drive about 9,000 miles a year at the most(last year was 8500)so I will have major guard protection for a full 7 years.

If you're talking about warranty service I think you have to use a Pontiac dealer. From what I've heard most Toyota dealers will not work on a Vibe. If you are past the warranty period, I recommend you find an independent that has a good reputation and that you trust. They are generally less expensive and more flexible on service requests. Just be sure you find one that has the computer analysis capabilities needed for these newer vehicles.
