Steering to the left and "light" steering

Test drove an 05 today that I'm looking at buying and when you let go of the wheel it wants to go left. Also when you brake the steering shutters back and forth (with hands off the wheel). It also has a very light front end feel? Is this normal (the light front end)? Also do you think it's just an alignment issue? It's a 1 owner car with only 45K on it. Needs new tires and I will get them aligned correct when I get the new tires on it?

Sounds like alignment or a tie rod end. If you're serious about buying it, why not get a ppi done on it?

I'm guessing pre-purchase inspection.

Warped brake rotors (out of round drums)Both are easy fixes, get an alignment and get a brake job... The light feeling is prolly just you not being familar with the car, my Subaru is MUCH heavier in the front end compaired to the Vibe... What are you driving now, to compair to??

I test drove an Equinox a couple of years ago and it felt like I was in a simulator (steering didn't feel connected to the car).I could be wrong, I thought I'd heard that 05+ have electronic throttle and power steering.Negative on the electric steering.

Turns out the front driver side tire was at 15psi....Didn't even think to check it so took it to my local shop, they checked the entire car out for any accidents, all the brakes etc for just $50 and found the problem. Good piece of mind...I ended up getting the car and am picking it up on Monday.
