2005+ Center console bezel in 03-04 model????

Hey Guys,Has anyone switched out their center console bezel around the radio in an 03-04 vibe for the 05+ bezel with the nice clock in it? Just curious, as I am interested in doing this for my 2004. The separate clock looks so much nicer! I just have to find the bezel/clock. They come up on ebay every so often, but I'm sure there are other places to get them. Any suggestions?

I didn't know they came with a clock.

I've seen several pics with the clock in the place of the defrost and hazard button of the 03-04 models. The guy (Daniel) who posted all the pics of his Voltz, has the bezel with the clock (although his car is a right hand drive). That's just the first pic I could think of that has what I'm talking about. However, I've seen it on the left hand drive Vibe/Matrix as well. If you look up dash trim kits, the 03-04 kits are different that the 2005+ kits, and one difference is the center radio bezel. The 2003/2004 has two circle cutouts for the two buttons, but the 2005+ has one teardropped shaped cutout for the digital clock (and button).

I believe that the clock is only on the Trix's... I have an 06 it doesn't have a clock except for the one on the radio.

You're right. I just figured that out. Here's a pic of a Matrix with the clock and aftermarket radio. Basically, I'd like for my center conole to look like this in my 2004 Vibe. However, I'd have to figure out something to do with the defrost button and I guess I'd have to run power to the clock also. So, I'm wondering if anyone has done this?

would be cool..i like how the clock is there..putting the defrost would be pretty easy..you can stick it below the ac and recirculation buttons..then go to toyota, buy the clock..and possibly the harness if it's not already there.

That's where the trix one is,on the blank black button.Still looks bland.I've been in a few Trix's and it never stood out,at least not worth changing everything over for.

The defrost button in the Trix is in fact in the blank position underneath our A/C and recirculation buttons. I like the look better. It looks a little more refined in my opinion. However, I'm not going to buy any of this stuff new. If I should happen to run across it on ebay or elsewhere then maybe.

http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...7.JPGthats a voltz so i'm guessing its a toyota thing, since the matrix's have it too. if you really want to do this conversion check out a local junk yard. my 05 dosen't have the clock there, just the radio one

Called around Houston the last few days and actually found a matrix radio bezel with the digital clock and A/C control switch included for a really good price. I even pulled out the wiring harness connections from the salvaged Trix. I'll keep you guys posted on if I can get this mod working.

I looked at doing that,
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=20831 and gave up. I still have the trix bezel, getting dusty somewhere in my pile of random bits

Hey thanks for the thread. Wish I had known you had one before I went searching for one. Anyhow, the whole point for doing this is that I WILL be getting an aftermarket radio, and I still want a clock. So, the gaps should disappear with the correct adapter. Also, I think that this one specific aspect of the Matrix looks a bit more refined than the Vibe, just like the chrome Matrix interior door handles and the rear interior door panels.
