From that sticker on the front bumper, it looks like he was going for the transformer look.

yup in the article, it said transformers police on it, but he decided to just go police now.

That's definitely illegal in Canada. There was a guy in this area that got busted not too long ago for pulling people over with a portable red rotating light that he stuck on his car.

I suppose as long as he doesn't wear an imitation uniform and attempt to pull anyone over he might be OKRealistically it shouldn't be street legal like that. If he wants to bring it to conventions and or car shows that should be fine.I don't think he should be driving it in the streets with the fake light bar and POLICE decals on.

I read an article a few years back about a guy in Pa. that restored a '64 Impala State Police car. He had to get permission from the state to use the State Police logos on the car. Of course the Mustang guy isn't using official logos, so maybe that's how he gets away with it. I bet if he tried pulling somebody over, he would be in the back of a real police car.If I did that, my car would have to be a K9 unit.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg39T3OESSsHere's a news segment about the carThis about sums it up! While it is cool and neat the guy is kind of an idiot for doing it. Did he honestly think he would not get attention from the police? Of all the cars in the movie he picked the police car to do. He should redeem himself and auction the car off to a collector that can take it to car shows. Possibly he could make more money than the Mustang is really worth too.

they say its legal as long as he doesnt impersonate a police officer.

I would consider a car that looks like a cop car to be impersonating. But I don't live there. Not to mention the wheels, hood, lack of spoiler, the misplacement of the decepticon logo's and the fact that it is not a Roush Mustang. Remember they used a Roush because Ford did not want to be involved in the movie since it was so heavily sponsored by GM, so they went to Roush, LOL.

It's a pretty inaccurate replica.

I never knew there was a Las Vegas in New Mexico.

At a glance the car looks somewhat realistic. It would give me a scare when I first saw it. Hell, I get scared when I see white Chevy Impala's or Ford Crown Vic's.

actually they used a Saleen mustang not the Roush.but the car is not completely acurate to the movie car, or even close to some of the cop cars there. but he only did it to entertian his son.

Trying to get anywhere with that thing has to be almost impossible. No better way to jam up a road than to pull up behind traffic with a believable cop car. No body will go over 45mph, no one will pass, and your stuck behind it all if you can't get around.
