I ordered a basic Yakima rack for my 2006 GT from http://www.rackoutfitters.com/. They have a discount price, and the parts arrived in good shape a day earlier than expected. The Yakima components were easy to install (especially the LowRider) and they seem to be good quality.This is what I ordered:8000135 - Yakima New Q Towers - Set of 28000114 - Yakima LowRider - Set of 28000409 - Yakima 58 Inch RoundBars - Set of 28000683 - Yakima Q83-A Clips - Set of 28007206 - Yakima SKS Lock Cores - Set of 6These parts are good for anyone who wants to carry larger loads. Two sets of LowRiders that attach to the factory rack would be better for smaller loads. The 58" RoundBars (crossbars) are too wide for everyday use, but I wanted the extra width for utility purposes, and I don't plan to leave the racks on all of the time. I'll just put them on when needed.Thanks to lovemyraffe (http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=30894) for some good advice. I'll try to order more Yakima goodies from him in the future.

I have a similar setup, main difference the front towers are the Control Towers with #6 landing pads that are permanently attached to the roof. Same Q Towers in the back, 48" bars with load stops for the ladder. I was pleasantly surprised that on the interstate the wind noise from the ladder was not noticeable at all.

dvgb173 - I have a 2006 Vibe GT (see the original post at the top of the page). There are also photos included in the original post at the top of the page. If you would like some up-close photos, please just let me know.Since I have a 2006 model, I don't know what is needed for a 2009. Losthwy, I'd like to see a picture of your rack with the Control towers and landing pads #6. I also would prefer a fixed front bar.What year/model is your Vibe?I have an 09 GT and I am having a hard time finding out if any of the lp's will work on it. I think the roof line is different from previous years.Thanks.

Nice Rack, looks good on white! I don't like the 58"s though I have similar setup with 48" bars check it out http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=36579I just got my two "highroller" bike racks, the setup looks super badass, I'll have to post updated pics soon!!!

Hi Sull,I agree that the 48" bars you have look nicer. We bought the 58" bars thinking that they would be better when we carry cargo that's bigger than our tandem bike. (See the last picture of our car in our Vibe Garage.)BTW - have you tried your rack with AND without the fairing? Is there a noticeable difference in wind noise?Mike Wilkinson
