We have it for my wife's G5 and it covers almost everything. The exceptions being brakes, exhaust, tires and body work. There are 3 different levels of protection, which one do you have?

The items excluded are considered maintenance or consumable items. In addition, body work isn't covered either, that's what insurance is for. It will cover everything else, engine, tranny, fuel system, electrical, ac components, etc. it really is a good plan. We had a 96 Camaro a few years back that had tranny issues. GM major guard payed for a new tranny and all the labor plus the rental car. If I can find the paperwork, I'll scan the items that are covered for you.

There are 3 levels of coverage: Basic, Value, Major. You have the best of the 3. Here's a link to see exactly what is covered- http://www.gmprotectionplan.co....html

Oh man, MajorGuard is great!I ended up with like 4 weekly visits to fix the windows, all attempts unsuccessful, several days in the shop to trace down an engine knock that they couldn't find (with a rental and no cost to me for anything,) power steering pump, a couple of A/C compressors, transmission (w/ rental for a week) and I'm probably forgetting many other things. Had the cat/PCM replaced under the extended warranty but not sure if that fell under MajorGuard or the fed. emissions warranty.Had the same warranty on my Malibu I had before that, it was awesome too.Basically, it's just as good as the original bumper-to-bumper warranty. It won't cover the odds and ends that are your responsibility as was mentioned, but aside from that it covers lots of other things that shouldn't be your responsibility.
