GenVibe - Community for Pontiac Vibe Enthusiasts

Hello,I have had my Vibe for a month and a half, and have put 8000 km (5000 mi) on it. I have noticed that when i push the clutch in, the idle stays up at around 1500-2000 rpm for about 45 seconds or so before dropping down. The only thing that has changed is the temperature. When I bought it it was very cold, and until last week it was a very cold winter. Now that it is warmer this has occured. Any suggestions? Is this normal? So I go and visit Mr. Goodwrench? Thanks for your help with this.

My base 5 speed does exactly the same. I think it's an emissions thing...

The Vibe engine will rev. highter until it gets is optimal temp to run. All Vibe works that way.
